A lot has happened over the last few days in free agency. Here’s the Neighborhood’s recap and analysis: 1-A few significant wide receiver signings/lack of signings happened over the last few days. Derrick Mason resigned with the Ravens, giving Baltimore a solid receiving corps after bringing in Dante Stallworth and Anquan Boldin in the offseason. Stallworth [...] The San Diego Chargers said goodbye to LaDanian Tomlinson , releasing their 9 year franchise running back. LT getting cut wasn’t a surprise, even to LT, who has been saying for over a month that he believed that he wouldn’t be back with San Diego. This move makes a lot of sense, given that LT [...] Everyone saw Brett Favre get hit with some pretty tough shots in the NFC Championship against the Saints. Today Bus Cook, Favre’s agent, released photos that he says are of Favre after the game. If you want to see what taking a beating in the NFL looks like this is it. No one can doubt [...] Whoops. Apparently the Vikings official website was a little quick on the draw declaring victory during Sunday’s NFC Championship game. The website temporarily displayed a screen shot of the team that said “NFC Champions” and had spots where fans could order championship gear. According to ProFootballTalk.com, the image didn’t go up because someone in the [...] After a weekend hiatus, we’re back and ready to gloat. After going 2-2 in the Divisional round, the Neighborhood was undefeated in Championship weekend picks. Here are a couple observations from those games: 1- The Colts young receivers aren’t wearing down. Gone are the days when you could just stop Wayne and Clark and think that [...] I’m feeling even better about that Saints pick today because Vikings injuries are mounting today. According to the injury report 75% of the Vikings vaunted defensive line, the one that needs to pressure Drew Brees to win, is listed as questionable. Pat Williams apparently injured his foot and missed practice friday, while Kevin williams and [...] Apparently Prince wrote the Vikings a fight song for the NFC Championship game…and it’s awful. It sounds like a Christmas carol gone horribly wrong. Check it out below. No team with this song to get it pumped could possibly win the NFC Championship game. The Fightin’ Favres square off against the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship Game. This game matches up the number 1 offense in the NFL (Saints) against the number 2 offense in the NFL (Vikings). So who prevails? Let’s scope it: The Saints Win if…the defense gets turnovers and the offensive line protects Drew Brees.
